Harvard Business School's Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship and the Office of Alumni Relations are pleased to announce the second annual Alumni New Venture Contest (NVC). With over half of HBS alumni classifying themselves as entrepreneurs at some point in their lives, this Contest is designed to shine a spotlight on alumni ventures, support promising new ventures and award a $25,000 cash prize to the winning team.
Local Contests will be held by 16 participating HBS Alumni Clubs in 12 regions around the world.

As part of the drive to continually increase the quality of our networking events, we decided to try out a theme approach for the first time. For our Winter Retreat 2007, the theme "Greentech" was selected. Participants were reminded of the urgent need for action on global warming by the almost total absence of snow in Kitzbühel village.

Professor Forest Reinhardt opened the program with the "Mid-Missouri Energy" case on the production of fuel ethanol from corn in America. Moderating a lively debate in the best HBS tradition, Professor Reinhardt used this seemingly simple story to unveil the complexities of alternative fuels, energy independence, carbon emissions and agricultural subsidies. The huge success of the 2005 Winter Retreat in Kitzbühel was a hard goal to beat, but the 2006 event did just that. With word having spread around the HBS community, the number of participants doubled compared to 2005 with a total of 157 adults and 68 kids. ...

Dear HBS Alumni, dear friends,

on behalf of the Harvard Business School Association of Germany e.V. it is my pleasure to welcome you to our new website.

We intend to use this website as our primary tool to facilitate and improve our communication with you. We will announce all of our events here and we will send a regular newsletter to your LEFA via this website.

As you can see there is a public area and an area that is reserved for the members of the HBSA. In order to log into the members only area you need your user name and your password. If you are a member and you have not received this data, please contact us.

In the members area you will find the data of all HBSA members. You can use the search function to identify friends or business partners. We encourage you to update your own information yourself in case of any changes. You can also stroll through the gallery to look at photos from past events.

We wish you a lot of fun with the new HBSA website. If you have any comments, please don´t hesitate to contact us.
